The Read
What should a free AI brand review tell you?
A useful brand review identifies what a customer can understand, where the message becomes generic and what to change first. Sigil’s free Read gives a scored critique, a rewritten headline and three practical next steps.

From a brand review to a brand system

What should you change first? This real Read of AutoPrint scored 71: the artwork is clear before the product is. Bring the product into the headline. Put the prompt first on phones. Check physical-product claims. Then build the system: mark, type, color and voice. This example is Sigil’s own Book. Make the decisions usable: custom type, working files, design tokens and brand.md. Start with the free Read. Give Sigil your website and an optional business document at sigil.auto-units.com.
A score is a starting point
A number can summarize a review, but it does not explain the work. Read the verdict and the reasons behind it. Look for a specific gap between the product you offer and what your website leads a visitor to believe.
Sigil’s public example is a real Read of AutoPrint. Its verdict is “The artwork is clear before the product is.” The first recommended change is to bring the product into the headline. That is a concrete communication problem, not a vague request to make the brand more premium.
Give the review something real to work with
Start with your public website. Add a business document when it contains context the site does not explain: a pitch deck, product brief or company memo. The document is optional in Sigil’s intake, but useful context can make the review more relevant.
Describe the customer, the job your product does and the decisions you are struggling with. A review can assess the evidence you supply; it cannot establish customer demand or prove a conversion lift.
Turn the first changes into an experiment
Choose one recommendation you can implement. For a headline, ask whether a new visitor can now identify the product and its purpose. For a visual change, check whether the page has a clear focal point and readable hierarchy.
Keep a record of the change and its date. Compare actual customer behavior only when you have the measurements to do so. The score is a critique, not a performance result.
- Submit the website and optional business document.

Common questions
- Do I need to pay for the Read?
- No. Sigil’s Read is free and does not require an account to begin.
- Does a high score mean my site will convert?
- No. A brand critique assesses presentation. Conversion needs evidence from real visitors and purchases.
